Money & Receipts is operated by Smart Pixel Pty Ltd. You do not need to register or sign in to use local records. The app stores financial records on your device. Subscription services, support email and destinations you choose for sharing can use network connections and process information outside your device.

About Money & Receipts
What this policy covers
This policy applies to the Money & Receipts mobile app and its receipt, invoice, quote, ledger, recurring and tax-record features. It does not apply to websites or services that are not operated as part of this app.
Information you keep in the app
You may enter or import receipt, invoice and quote images or PDFs, extracted text, merchant and item details, amounts, dates, categories, notes, income and expense entries, bank statement entries, recurring rules and tax-record details. The app also stores preferences, links between records and cumulative Free allowance history. Subscription identifiers, billing metadata, diagnostics and support information are described below.
How information is collected
Information is collected when you type it, take a receipt photo, choose an image, import a PDF, or edit a record. Camera, photo-library and document-picker access is requested only when you use the related feature. The app does not request microphone access.
How the app uses your documents
The app uses document and financial information on your device to read documents, organise records, calculate summaries and prepare exports and local backups. OCR and PDF reading process document content on your device. If Smart reading is enabled and supported on your device, Apple Foundation Models can help structure extracted text on-device. Check the results before saving. Subscription plans, purchases, restores and access checks use Apple and RevenueCat services.
We use Google ML Kit for text recognition on your device. Its SDK also sends Google operational data, which may include device and app details, an installation identifier, performance measurements, image settings, and SDK events or errors, for diagnostics and usage analysis. Google states that input images and recognition results stay on-device. The SDK may also contact Google for updates and compatibility information.
Local storage, backup and sharing
Financial records and saved image/PDF attachments are kept in the app’s local storage. Settings provides local ZIP backup and manual restore. The current version does not provide company-hosted cloud backup or automatic cloud sync. When you save or share a ZIP or another export, your chosen app or file provider handles that copy. Your operating system or device backup settings may also create copies outside the app’s local storage.
Subscriptions and service providers
Apple and RevenueCat provide subscription plans, purchasing, restoration and access checks. Billing requests can occur at startup or when the app loads plans, checks status, purchases or restores. These services process App Store purchase and subscription information, billing identifiers and relevant customer, device and service metadata. App Store transaction or purchase-receipt information is separate from the receipt documents you photograph or import. The app does not include your scanned receipt images, PDFs, extracted document text, tax records or ZIP backup contents in its billing requests.
A RevenueCat App User ID may be anonymous or retained from an earlier app version. No new app registration is required, but an anonymous or legacy identifier does not by itself make the information unidentifiable. On Apple devices, the billing SDK can automatically send the vendor device identifier (IDFV), app and operating system versions, device information, preferred languages, storefront country and App Tracking Transparency (ATT) status. Reporting that status does not request tracking permission.
RevenueCat processes subscription information for us to validate purchases, check access and analyse subscriptions. RevenueCat states that customer data is stored in the United States, which may be outside your country. Apple handles App Store payments and processes information for its own store operations under its privacy notice. Information held by services used in earlier app versions is separate from local records; deleting records on your device does not establish that those services have deleted their information.
RevenueCat is currently configured to send Money & Receipts sandbox subscription events to a Supabase-hosted endpoint for subscription testing and troubleshooting. This server-to-server integration is separate from local receipt and financial-document storage. Events may include billing identifiers, event types and timestamps, store information, and entitlement or expiry details.
Diagnostics and support
The app keeps a local error log for troubleshooting. In Settings you can view, clear or choose to share it through your device’s share sheet. Review it before sharing, especially if you used an earlier version, because older entries may contain additional diagnostic details.
When you choose Read or Refresh in Subscription diagnostics, the app asks the billing SDK for subscription information, App User IDs, available plans and storefront country information. These reads may use network connections or cached results. The screen does not automatically save or share the displayed results. Review screenshots before sending them because they can include billing identifiers.
We use Zoho Mail to receive and manage support and privacy emails. Smart Pixel Pty Ltd’s owner and authorised support team can access messages and attachments as needed to handle those requests. Support materials are used for handling support and privacy requests. Send only what is needed; do not send passwords, authentication tokens, full backups or unredacted financial documents.
Retention, deletion and requests
You can delete local records and attachments where the app provides that action, or use Settings → Clear All Data to remove local financial records and saved receipt files. Cumulative Free allowance history is kept separately and deleting records does not return used allowance. Clear All Data does not clear the separate error log or retained session information from earlier versions; the error log has its own clear action in Settings.
Expiry, cancellation or refund of a subscription does not delete or lock existing local records. Removing local data does not delete exported copies, device backups or service-held information. Deleting a RevenueCat customer record does not cancel an Apple subscription. Apple may retain App Store purchase records to meet legal obligations, including after account closure.
We review support messages and attachments when a case is closed and delete or de-identify material when it is no longer needed. If an actual dispute or legal obligation requires retention, we keep only the necessary material and periodically review the continued need. This process is based on necessity rather than a fixed number of days. Removing mail from an active mailbox does not guarantee immediate removal from every provider recovery, archive or backup copy.
You can email support@smartpixel.com.au to request deletion of support information. We may ask for proportionate information to verify your identity and locate the relevant records. This request is separate from deleting data on your device or cancelling an Apple subscription.
Security
The app relies on the operating system’s private app storage and device security controls. It does not add password protection to ZIP backups. ZIPs can contain financial records and original image/PDF attachments, so store them securely and share them only when needed. No storage or transfer method is completely risk-free.
Your choices
You can choose whether to grant camera or photo access, choose files to import and turn off Smart reading in Settings. Existing local records can be viewed, edited, exported, backed up and restored without an active Pro subscription. For support or privacy questions and requests, including information from an earlier app version or service, email support@smartpixel.com.au.
Changes to this policy
We will update this policy when the app's data practices change.
